This is a casual get together (1st Thursday of every month) for breakfast and conversation at 9am. No RSVP is required. Just drop in and enjoy some good food and excellent company.

We are meeting at Ganders Restaraunt & Lounge – 4747 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 located inside DoubleTree by Hilton starting at 6:30pm!  This is on the corner of 28th St and Patterson.

DeutcheMarques - July 11th (Non-PCA Event)

As a German car show, motorcycles are not admitted. DeutscheMarques defines a “German car” as any automobile manufactured by a recognized German marque. Minis and Chrysler Crossfires do not qualify.

For Sale signs are not allowed, and there is no swap meet. All sponsors and vendors must be approved by DeutscheMarques prior to the show.

Gates for show cars open at 8:00 am. NO early entries. $35 covers the car, driver and one passenger. Additional passengers at regular museum admission rates. The gate closes at 12:00 sharp. No exceptions.

Judging begins at 11:30. Awards are scheduled to be announced at 1:30 pm. You must be present to win.

Summer Fun Run - Grattan Raceway - July 18th-19th

Right now, Taste of the Track and the Instructed White group are SOLD OUT! Sign up now for the remaining solo classes in Green (Intermediate), Blue (Low Advanced), and Black (Advanced).

PLEASE note that the price will go up after July 3rd.

Please check your helmet and make sure it has a minimum SNELL rating of SA2020. Snell ratings are valid for ten years, which makes the SA2015 Opsolite.

Also, if you have a 6-point racing harness, check the dates on the belts, as they have a five-year life.

Get your Tech inspections done early; some shops can take up to 2-4 weeks to get in. Inspections are good this year for up to 120 days.

Please sign up as soon as possible, as this will help us provide enough instructors for everyone. The Taste of the Track filled up fast last year. This event is limited to 12 participants.

Red Barn Spectacular – Saturday August 1st

CAR CORRAL AND HOSPITALITY HOST: AMBER DOOR & JERRY ARENS

Western Michigan Region Porsche Club will again be joining other car enthusiasts for the 44th annual Red Barn Spectacular. It is West Michigan’s “Grand Daddy” of antique, classic and special interest car show.

In addition to cars the event will have special displays of antique boats and campers. The event will still include a swap meet, food booths, judge’s Concours and people’s choice Concours. The WMR Porsche Club will have a Porsche only car corral with a Welcome/Hospitality tent located within the car show.

As the FEATURED Marque for this years event, the corral will be located just inside the show car entrance Please plan to arrive as early as possible if you want to park in the car corral. You must arrive before 11am for entrance to the corral. You may also enter your 2001 and older Porsche in the People’s choice category. Awards will be given to the top 25 cars.

Charity BBQ and Summer Drive - August 15th

We hope you can join us for an event which includes a drive, a chance to look at some classic cars (including some overflow from the Gilmore Car Museum), enjoy some BBQ and benefits our charities! 

We will start with a 90-minute drive through the country, which will start and end at the Chief Noonday Car Park in the Yankee Springs area.  We will then enjoy some pulled pork, with appropriate sides (BYOB and chairs).  In addition to strolling through the car barns, you will get the chance to acquire some gently used (or possibly new) Porsche items for a generous donation to Kids Food Basket (plus the bucket will be available).

The cost for the BBQ and Drive is $40 per person.  All proceeds (net of registration fees) will go to Feeding America West Michigan.
