In 2025 we had 225 members participate in at least 1 of the 33 WMR events held. Of the 236, 51 were
new members that joined the club in 2024 or 2025.

Every year WMR selects an “Enthusiast of the Year” and a “New Member Enthusiast of the Year” using a
standardized point system based on attendance at WMR events and newsletter involvement. The
“Enthusiast of the Year” has their name engraved on a pin that is added to a roving trophy that they
keep for the following year. The New Member Enthusiast of the year will receive a name tag that has the
award engraved on it along with their name.

Members who have receive the “Enthusiast of the Year” award 3 time are award “Lifetime Enthusiast”
Since 1992, this award has been awarded to:

Craig & Chris Ackerman
Jerry Arens
Amber Door

Once you’ve earned Lifetime Enthusiast you will be recognized every year but will not be awarded
“Enthusiast of the Year”.

Once you’re awarded “Enthusiast of the Year” you cannot be awarded it for the following two years.

For the 2025 “New Member Enthusiast of the Year” with 195 points is:

Lycia Baskin

It should be noted that Otto had 215 points but since he won the award last year his wife earned it this
year.

The 2025 “Enthusiast of the Year” with 340 points is:

Frank Conner

This is Frank’s second time so one more and he will earn the Lifetime award.

Drives/Autocross/Drivers Ed/Club Race: 10
Multi Day event (if all days attended): 10
Driving your own Porsche to an event: 5
50 or more miles one way: 10
For participation in a WMR event:
Chairing an event: 20
Active Volunteer during an event: 5 (Added for 2025)
Autocross/Drivers Education: 15

Members who bring new members to an event: 10
For contributions to the Uber:
Pictures/write-up submitted of WMR event: 10
For other articles/pictures: 10
