New Online Event Registration Process
Software-Based Event Registration
As some of you may have noticed, the Board has decided to implement a software-based registration system for all our events this year. This simplifies your process for event registration and provides several advantages for the event chair. Each event will have a unique link that will be provided via email and through our normal advertisements (Uber, Website, Facebook, etc). With this link, all you need to do is open the event page and register. If this is a pre-pay event, you will do that when you register as well.
The software we have chosen to use is www.motorsportreg.com. If you don’t have an account, it will make it even easier if you set up your account now. An account is free and you only have to do it once. If you have questions on setting up your account, you can contact Glenn Eisenbrandt via geisenbrandt@gmail.com
Why have we chosen to make this change?
- The club will have a common process to register for all events (other than HDPE)
- Members will have details of all our events located in one location.
- Event chairs and WMR leaders can more easily monitor participant numbers.
- A central online system eliminates most of the variables in our old system of phone calls, emails, texts, host managing registrants, etc. Ultimately this decreases the probability of registration errors.
- Hosts can print registrant documents for attendee lists, waiver forms, leads and sweeps for driving tour and more.
We aren’t inventing the wheel. We’ve used a similar process for our “Up North” drives the last couple years, our HPDE event at Grattan has been using a similar process for years, and it is common practice in other regions.
While this will ultimately standardize and simplify the communications and time commitments for both the participant and especially the event Chair, we know that for a few, there will be a short learning curve. As we move forward, you need to know that the club is committed to providing the support needed to make this transition go as smoothly as possible.

Summer Fun Run
Update: Summer Fun Run, July 18 and 19.
IT’S NOW LESS THAN 90 DAYS UNTIL THE WESTERN MICHIGAN PORCHE CLUB’S BIGGEST EVENT OF THE YEAR!
Participating in motor sports this year, you will need to check your helmet and make sure it has a minimum SNELL rating of SA2020. Snell ratings are valid for ten years, which makes the SA2015 Opsolite.
First-time participants who have never been on a track and will be with an instructor may use a motorcycle helmet with an SM2020 rating. All others will need SA2020 Minimum. Taste of Track participants will not need a helmet.
Also, if you have a 6-point racing harness, check the dates on the belts, as they have a five-year life.
Get your Tech inspections done early; some shops can take up to 2-4 weeks to get in. Inspections are good this year for up to 120 days.
Please sign up as soon as possible, as this will help us provide enough instructors for everyone. The Taste of the Track filled up fast last year. This event is limited to 12 participants.
More information and easy sign up, just go to: https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/16605.
The information below is a copy that was published before.
The Western Michigan Region PCA 2026 End Of Summer Fun Run is now the SUMMER FUN RUN, moving to an earlier spot in July due to Grattan Raceway’s schedule change. Join us for two full days of spirited driving on July 18th and 19th at Grattan Raceway.
All vehicle makes and models are welcome!
This year’s event will feature four run groups, in addition to the Taste of the Track.
Black – Advance / Instructors
Blue – High Intermediate / Instructors
Green – Low Intermediate
White – Beginner – Fully instructed
DE participants will receive 5 sessions each day, ensuring plenty of track time.
Taste of the Track is a way to introduce a driving enthusiast to the world of high-performance driving, PCA style. We understand that some drivers would like to learn more about the PCA Drivers Education program, but are not quite ready to be a full-time DE Entrant. You will be assigned an instructor for two sessions on the track on Saturday. Attend the novice student activities, which include the general drivers meeting and Novice classroom sessions. No Helmets or pre-event vehicle Tech required. (Limited to 12 participants)
WMR Porsche Club also offers a unique way to donate to our charity (Family Promise of Grand Rapids). At noon for a half hour each day for $20 per car load, arrive before 11:55 to get on the track.
On Friday, July 17th, from 5 pm til 6:30 pm, track Tech inspection for DE registrants will be available. I highly recommend it, as it will save you time on Saturday morning. Vehicles and trailers can be set up with overnight security. Garage rentals are available to reserve with Grattan manager Sam at 616-824-1815
Just like last year, the Track will charge $10 to all entrants.
And, back by popular demand, there will be FREE no-hook-up camping on site inside the track on Friday and Saturday. Bathrooms and showers are available. Save some money and enjoy the fellowship.
If you prefer a hotel, the American Inn in Greenville, MI, is ten minutes away. Mention WMR Porsche Club for the best rate. 616-754-4500. Many hotels are available in the Grand Rapids area.
All registrants will receive a free shirt at check-in, sponsored by our good friends at Fox Porsche Grand Rapids. And we like to have fun after the track is cold on Saturday with a gourmet pizza party provided by Don Sjion of Euro Autowerks of Rockford, MI. Plus adult beverages provided by Sam Cummings, Saugatuck Brewing, and Rick Riley.
After the party, we will have a track walk, a great way to see it from a different perspective.
Pricing, pre-tech forms, and more information can be found on this link: https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/16605.
Hope to see you at the track for some fun and exhilarating driving.

Welcome to the West Michigan Region - PCA
Zone 4 comprises 12 PCA Regions (chapters) located in the north central United States. These 12 Regions comprise nearly 20% of the membership base of the Porsche Club of America and host a variety of events year round. Have a look for the Region closest to you and see what events are coming up!
Zone 4 covers the western part of Pennsylvania, all of Ohio, the lower peninsula of Michigan and most of Indiana. (click on icon to go to site)
The organizational meeting was held on October 22, 1960, at Greenridge Country Club in Grand Rapids. All 31 attending the meeting voted to organize the Western Michigan Region. The first club meeting was December 3, 1960, and met every other month. WMR was one of the charter members that went to the National PCA meeting in Pittsburgh, PA to present our formal petition for charter on December 3, 1960.
WMR is truly a vibrant, active community with a current total membership of over 780 people. With various events which include drives, destination dinners, on track driving and driver education. The West Michigan Region genuinely lives up to the motto:
It’s not just the cars – it’s the people
